This is step-by-step tutorial for installing google chrome in Ubuntu:
- Download Google Chrome current stable version here: http://www.google.com/chrome
- Click Download Chrome.
- Select your download package: 32 bit or 64 bit.
- Save file in directory Downloads (so full directory address is /home/user/Downloads)
- Then run Terminal, then go to superuser access by type this command: sudo su
- Go to Downloads directory by type this command: cd Downloads
- For installing, type this following command:
dpkg -i google-chrome*; apt-get -f install
- Now your Ubuntu has been installed google chrome web browser.
- After installing, go to Unity Dashboard and search for chrome and launch it. You can drug and drop chrome icon to launcher bar.
